Mahjong at Dessert Gallery: A Unique Houston Food & Game Event
Looking for fun, social Houston food events that combine great food and community? Dessert Gallery invites you to gather around the table for a relaxed and social Mahjong experience, hosted in collaboration with Houston’s Mahjong Girl, Daniela Garduño. Designed to bring people together over tiles, desserts, and conversation, these open-play sessions offer a welcoming space for connection and friendly competition.
While this event is beginner-friendly, it is not a formal lesson. Guests should arrive with a basic understanding of Mahjong rules and gameplay. Tiles will be provided, and players are welcome to bring their own Mahjong card or borrow one on site.
Your $15 ticket includes dessert, because no game night is complete without something sweet. Whether you come with friends or arrive solo, we’ll help get tables organized so everyone feels welcome and included.
Looking for fun BYOB things to do in Houston? Both sessions welcome guests to bring their own wine; however, please bring your own corkscrew and handle any uncorking yourself.
This Mahjong Night marks the first of many community-focused events at Dessert Gallery. We’re excited to continue hosting creative, social Houston food events that bring people together over shared interests, great conversation, and something sweet. Be sure to check back regularly for upcoming special event dates and new Houston food experiences, as we’re just getting started.
